Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 24, 2025

Welcome to TutorVerse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TutorVerse website and the services offered on it. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.

2. Content

Our Service allows teachers to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). Teachers retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that they hold in their Content. TutorVerse does not claim ownership of any Content that you post on or through the Service.

You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

3. Payments, Credits, and Refunds

Students add funds to their wallet in USD via PayPal. These funds are used to pay for individual live classes. For internal calculation, the platform may reference a "credit" system where 1 credit is equivalent to $10 USD. However, all transactions are processed in USD. Students are charged on a per-class basis, not for an entire course upfront.

Refunds: Students may receive a full refund for a class they have joined by cancelling their registration at any time before the scheduled start time of that class. Refunds are processed back to the student's TutorVerse wallet. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after a class has started.

Teacher Payouts: Teachers earn 85% of the revenue generated from students joining their classes. These earnings are held in a pending state for 48 hours after a class is marked as completed. After the clearance period, the funds are moved to the teacher's "Total Earnings" and become available for withdrawal. Teachers can request a payout of their cleared earnings to a valid PayPal account, provided their balance meets the minimum withdrawal threshold of $100.00 USD. Payouts are processed manually by TutorVerse.

4. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall TutorVerse, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
